Skyforge Drift fuel calculator
Enter the route length and your ship: the calculator shows fuel cells to load and the Ember profit after fuel. A headwind adds 25%.
Fuel cells to load
22cells
Fuel cost
198Embers
Profit after fuel
1,482Embers
Fuel use per 10 km: Racer 1.2 cells, Scout 1.0, Brawler 1.5, Hauler 1.8. Cargo pays 14 Embers per km; one fuel cell costs 9 Embers.
How it works
How to use it. Type the route length from the contract board, pick the ship you are flying and the wind shown on the departure gate. The numbers update as you type.
How the numbers are worked out. Fuel per 10 km depends on ship class: Racer 1.2 cells, Scout 1.0, Brawler 1.5, Hauler 1.8. A tailwind multiplies that by 0.85 and a headwind by 1.25. The result is rounded up, because you can only load whole cells.
| Ship class | Cells per 10 km | 120 km, calm |
|---|---|---|
| Scout | 1.0 | 12 |
| Racer | 1.2 | 15 |
| Brawler | 1.5 | 18 |
| Hauler | 1.8 | 22 |
Profit is the cargo payout (14 Embers per km) minus 9 Embers for every cell you load. Running out of fuel mid-route forfeits the payout, so load the number shown, not less.
FAQ
Do Haulers really make more money?
Per trip, no: they burn the most fuel. They win on longer routes because cargo pays per km while their hull survives the storms that end other ships' runs.
Does wind change during a cargo run?
Not in early access. The wind shown on the departure gate holds for the whole route.

Ship tier list
The Halcyon and the Ironjaw are the two S tier ships after patch 0.9.2. Starters should build the Wren first: it is A tier and costs no rare parts.
